Why is HD Supply Facilities Maintenance requiring that all HD Supply Facilities Maintenance suppliers join the Big Hammer MDP?
HD Supply Facilities Maintenance is excited to announce its partnership with Big Hammer and the launch of the Data Collection Program, an initiative that our suppliers can utilize to exchange logistical, product and marketing data in a way that is seamless and error-free. The Data Collection Program is designed to benefit both HD Supply Facilities Maintenance and our suppliers.

Increased sales:
  • Effective marketing using enhanced product data to improve response rates
  • Improved “search” results on hdsupplysolutions.com based on specific product attributes to increase the likelihood that your product is viewed
  • Promotional e-mails utilizing additional images and videos to capture the customer’s interest

When do I need to enroll in the Marketing Data Pool (MDP)?
You are encouraged to enroll immediately, however you must enroll prior to June 22, 2007.

Which suppliers are required to join the Big Hammer Marketing Data Pool?
All HD Facilities Maintenance suppliers are required to join the MDP and select a GDSN provider prior to June 22, 2007.

Can I be in the MDP without being in the GSDN?
No, you must choose a GDSN provider and you must enroll specifically in Big Hammer's MDP.

What are the benefits of this program?
Benefits of this program include:

  • Comprehensive management of all data, including digital assets: videos, schematics, blowouts, buyers and warranty guides, etc.

How do I get started with the program?
You will want to attend the online program kick-off meeting on May 22, 2007 to learn about the program and you will have the opportunity to get your questions addressed. You will go to the Supplier Site and click the “Fast Track Enroll Now” button at the top or bottom of the website to begin the enrollment process.
