Program Overview

Lowe’s vision is to be our customers’ first choice for home improvement in each and every market we serve.  To this end, we must earn our customers’ trust and meet their individual needs; we must provide valued solutions with the best prices, products and services that make our customers’ lives easier.

One of Lowe’s key corporate initiatives has been to implement our Product Content Management (PCM) program, and we are now moving forward with the next step in consolidated data collection at Lowe’s.  We are kicking off our Marketing Data efforts, incorporating the rich product marketing content necessary to promote and sell your products online, in-store and in-print.

Today, vendors submit marketing data to Lowe’s multiple times.  The requested format varies depending on the use – one format for Lowes.com, another for advertising and often other formats for other uses.  Our goal is to simplify the process and allow you to provide the necessary marketing data and standard images once.

Eventually we would like all marketing data and standard images to flow through global data synchronization (GDSN) and PCM.  Until the global network is ready to include all the marketing content required, we are implementing an alternative to make doing business with Lowe’s easier for you.

Lowe’s has partnered with Big Hammer® Data to collect this product marketing content in their Marketing Data Pool.  The information for each item will be collected by Big Hammer once, and passed to Lowe’s for use in advertising, in-store selling tools, Lowes.com and other media.
